IEllen Woods, grew up in central Iowa on a family farm where we raised cattle, hogs, corn and soybeans. Additionally, we had a family garden where we grew our produce. As a young child I was fortunate to learn the value of food sourcing and the importance of farming. My education continued in Iowa where I graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa with a double major in Business and Spanish. My interest in Spanish led me to studies abroad in Peru, Mexico and Spain. My early career years included working as a wholesale apparel sales representative for Lee Jeans, Hue Hosiery and Avia. My culinary curiosity and desire brought me to attend Peter Kump’s New York Cooking School (currently Institute of Culinary Education) where I graduated with honors. I then continued working as a private chef on estates located in Lexington, KY, Dallas, TX and Palm Springs, CA. I returned to outside sales where I worked as a digital marketing representative for eleven years at Hibu. Since 2018 I have been working for Girl Scouts of San Gorgonio Council as a Membership Development Specialist.
