Anita is an internationally published cookbook author and the creator of “diary of a Mad Hungry Woman,” a food blog focusing on restaurant dining both local and beyond. Anita has appeared on Gordon Ramsey’s “Hell’s Kitchen” as a guest judge, as well as episodes of the Cooking Channel’s “Eat Street.” She was also an International Casting Producer on Netflix’s “The Final Table”.
Her culinary career started while at university in Australia, and upon graduation, moved back to her birthplace, Hong Kong, and spent almost 10 years as editor for numerous lifestyles and entertainment magazines, while writing about food.
She moved to the US in 1998, authored a cookbook, “Asian Greens,” started her blog in 2008, and won the (now defunct) OC Weekly’s Reader’s Choice Award for Best Blog in 2014.
As a member of LDEI, Anita was LA/OC chapter President for three years, co-chaired the 2017 conference, and has also served on the GCI committee. In 2020, she was a featured panelist for LDEI’s virtual brunch, and served on the LDEI Nominating Committee in 2021.
She currently serves as Second VP on the LDEI International Board (2022-2023/ 2023-2024).
